Who you are
- You’re in North America: You live in a location that is ±3 hours within U.S. Mountain Time (MDT, UTC−06:00)

- You've marketed to developers: You have experience in a growth marketing, digital marketing, or similar role for developer-focused products. You understand the unique challenges and opportunities of a developer audience
- You're a creative problem-solver: You have strong intuition and are comfortable with experimentation and iterative learning. You thrive on finding creative solutions to complex challenges. You should have a solid split between creativity and logic
- You are metric driven: You approach experiments with hypotheses and rely on data-backed decisions. While you're skilled at interpreting metrics to guide experiments, you also know when to leverage your instinct and experience for optimal results
What the job involves
- As a Growth Marketer, you will drive growth marketing experiments throughout the entire developer journey
- Leveraging your marketing expertise, particularly in engaging developer communities, you will ideate, execute, and maintain creative marketing experiments to improve awareness and adoption of Clerk
- Experimenting with new channels: Rapidly experiment with marketing channels to drive awareness and conversion, aiming to discover low-effort, high-impact strategies that can be consistently replicated
- Helping track growth KPIs as they relate to growth marketing experiments: Establish and monitor key performance indicators aligned with business goals to evaluate partnership effectiveness and overall growth. Your mission is to drive Activated Signups, and you need to be able to measure how your experiments impact these metrics (signups and activations)
- Tracking changing trends within developer communities: Keep a pulse on what it is our target audiences care about and pay attention to, in order to develop new ways to naturally get in front of them
Our take
Authentication is only part of the story when it comes to user management. Developers using API tools also face the complex UI and management issues of additional features like user sign-up, sign-in, and session management, to name a few. Clerk was founded to make this simpler, reducing hours of work to minutes using pre-built React components.
Clerk stands out in a market dominated by the likes of Auth0 and OneSpan with its focus on React rather than API. This taps into a growing number of developers working with Jamstack rather than trying to wrestle customers away from market incumbents - a smart move which has seen its userbase swell by five times, growing to over a million developers.
This rapid growth has attracted investors, and Clerk has recently closed a Series A round. This funding is being used to scale the business with a focus on hiring engineering, sales and product talent. As account security and management will continue to be a major focus for developers going forward, Clerk is well positioned to grow into a major player in this space.
