Who you are

Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar HR role in a UK-based organization
Thorough knowledge of UK employment law, regulations, and HR best practices
Proficiency in HR information systems and MS Office Suite. Proficient in Excel and data analysis
CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) certification is desirable
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with employees at all levels
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Self-confident – able to stand your ground
Happy to be hands on in HR admin work as required

What the job involves

Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of HR issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, and absence management
Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions to resolve employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies
Support the recruitment process by partnering with hiring managers to develop job descriptions, sourcing strategies, and interview protocols
Conduct interviews and assessments
Assist in the creation and execution of onboarding programs
Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with UK employment legislation and best practices
Regularly communicate policy updates and changes to employees and management, providing guidance and clarification as needed
Recommending appropriate actions to enhance overall HR effectiveness
Support the performance management process by providing guidance on goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans
Deliver training programs on various HR-related topics, including diversity and inclusion, performance management, and employee well-being
Compile and analyze HR data to generate reports on key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, absenteeism, and diversity
Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement
