Who you are
- This person must be a seasoned communicator and love strategy, problem-solving and cross-functional communication and collaboration, and be able to move swiftly managing multiple processes simultaneously
- 5-6 years experience at an established beauty company or communications agency (managing accounts)
- The ideal candidate has a proven track record of effective and efficient communication and process creation
- The ideal candidate has worked in conjunction with cross-functional partners within an organization
- The ideal candidate has well-established mid to senior level contacts within the US beauty media landscape
- Candidates should ideally be located in New York, NY or willing to relocate
What the job involves
- This person will help us create strategic approaches to how we meet, communicate, report and collaborate in and outside of our team
- This role will report into the Head of Global Communications
- Six Month Expectations:
- Quickly develop an understanding of Glossier’s existing processes and project management in collaboration with existing teams. This includes things like: product launch management including briefing documents cross-functionally and with external agency partners, GTM requests, supervision of Coordinator on product forecasting and seeding processes, tracking and dissemination of creative assets, etc
- Ideate and lead best-in-class, on-brand product launch & tentpole moment strategies with active supervision from the Head of Department to engage target beauty/lifestyle/business print, digital and broadcast media working in tandem with our agency partners
- Responsible for collaboratively ideating and inputting global communications strategies into launch GTM documents
- Draft launch and evergreen press assets including product one-sheeters, press pitches, and corporate announcement in tandem with agency partners
- Ownership over various team internal and external presentations, executive presentations/slides, and supervision of Transfer Orders (including product replenishment for agencies)
- Management of brand press email inbox including evaluating and responding to incoming media inquiries and collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage
- Working at IRL media moments such as product launches and retail openings
- Establish organizational practices to create greater efficiency and solve real-time capacity needs of legacy processes
- Manage daily interaction with agency partners to ensure seamless communication and information flow (documents, tracking, seeding) to maximize ROI on all projects
- Twelve+ Month Expectations:
- Adapt six month learnings into actionable change ie. find and create additional strategic communication and process improvements to unlock further capacity for the organization
- Successfully improve product launch strategies to create bigger wins with long lead target press outlets
- Drive communications tactics demonstrating a keen understanding of how they holistically ladder into our 3 year Brand Communications Strategy plan to drive enterprise business value
- Elevate communications tracking & reporting using in-house tools (Launchmetrics) and in cooperation with our agency and cross functional partners (Consumer Insights and Data teams) to demonstrate measurable ROI

Early on, she got her products into the makeup cabinets of celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Karlie Kloss. Glossier shook up the beauty business by selling items online only in an industry that has always prioritized in-person sales.
Glossier focuses on minimalist products designed with customers' real beauty routines in mind. Its minimalist approach and small number of products mark a stark difference from traditional beauty brands. The company has developed a cult-like following as a beauty brand that emphasises communication with its customers, even involving them in the creation of its products.
