Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience in project management, with a strong knowledge of standard project management methodologies, preferred
- Experience in the payments sector and/or with debit card systems is highly beneficial
- Understanding of software development project life cycles, design thinking, double diamond, and agile/scrum methodologies is preferred
- Experience in contract negotiation and management
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a strategic thinker mindset and excellent facilitation skills
- Exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to adapt and propose solutions to complex, time-critical problems
- Experience in coordinating with all levels of management and stakeholders
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
- Familiarity with project management software tools
- Experience in preparing and delivering progress reports to executives
- Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred
- Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is preferred
- The ideal candidate should be well-versed in coordinating, planning, and managing a project from conception through completion
What the job involves
- Working closely with various teams including, but not limited to, development, QA, and product management, the project manager will be in charge of leading, facilitating, and coordinating project processes to ensure timely and successful project delivery
- Identify, establish, and communicate the scope and objectives of each project
- Develop and manage comprehensive project plans and schedules
- Regularly communicate project updates to various stakeholders regarding strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Establish and manage project budgets based on the scope of work and resource requirements
- Manage third-party contracts, including assigning tasks and communicating expected skills and deliverables, if necessary, for the project
- Predict, allocate, and manage the resources required to achieve project objectives
- Conduct regular meetings and discussions to facilitate coordination, collaboration, and progress
- Employ industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution
- Maintain detailed project documentation and process workflows
- Monitor project progress, make necessary adjustments, and conduct a thorough project review to identify areas for improvement
Our take
An increase in access to mobile investment applications has provided opportunities for young people to invest in their future, but beginning this process and finding funds to do so can be intimidating. This is due to things like monthly fees, minimum investment values, and having to purchase whole shares.
Stockpile provides a mobile brokerage platform that focuses on facilitating the purchasing of fractional shares without the limitations and monthly fees of traditional brokers. Custodial accounts can also be made to introduce children to investment, and beginner tutorials are provided to make the first steps to investment less intimidating.
Whilst several other investment platforms are aiming to tackle the financial obstacles of beginner investment through facilitating fractional shares, Stockpile has taken further steps by making the introduction to investing easier, friendlier, and more understandable. In line with this, Stockpile acquired Investables, which enables it to start offering alternative assets (and expert advice to go with this) to its users.
