Who you are

You’re a recent university or coding program graduate, or have <1 year of engineering experience. This would also be a great role for someone looking to break into engineering from a technical support role
Familiarity with a coding language like Ruby or Javascript and experience with writing SQL queries
Familiarity with low-code tools like Retool and visualization tools like Tableau/Metabase/Looker/Power BI
Your a do-er and no task is too big or small
You are a creative problem solver
Creatively bring climate impact focused details to everything that you do
Strong interest in startups and climate tech

What the job involves

Treecard is looking for a Product Operations Engineer to help build tools and processes to optimize internal operations as we start to scale
The tools and processes you build will vary greatly from helping to optimize rewards costs, member success (support) team processes, and triaging user feedback to flag key trends to our team. This role will be scrappy, pragmatic and diverse in what you build
The Product Operations Engineer will report into our Lead Product Engineer (Backend) and work closely with teammates in Operations, Product/Data & Engineering
Support our Member Success team
Create and optimize tools & processes for our internal team members
Investigate, solve and escalate complex technical user tickets as needed
Product Operations
Build a system to triage user feedback
Flag trending key feedback to the team
Support the product team with building scrappy processes for product experiments
Support cost optimization projects for our member rewards fulfillment process
Assist with data collection & analysis

Our take

Directing the flow of consumer finances towards fighting climate change is an extremely powerful way to affect change. Treecard aims to do this by providing a way for consumers to spend more responsibly and to date has planted over 6 million trees.

It is partnered with Ecosia - the eco-friendly search engine - and will be working very closely with them as it grows. In particular, Treecard will be doing all the tree planting and the search engine will provide a core channel for user acquisition.

Treecard is well positioned to become the leading green finance brand with a full suite of products for conscious consumers and business users (green investing, expense cards, bank to bank payments). This is a position no brand has claimed yet.
