Lead Product Owner, Aptem

• 5 or more years experience in a Product Owner role, with a proven ability to lead and scale product teams
• Strong familiarity with Agile practices, particularly Scrum or Lean methods, and a track record of applying these in a product development context
• A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle at multiple levels of scale and maturity
• Exceptional organisational and analytical skills, with a clear, data-driven approach to prioritisation and planning
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively
• The ability to work autonomously as part of a distributed team, with the flexibility to accommodate up to 10% of domestic and/or international business travel
• A passion for creating outstanding user/customer experiences and a commitment to continuous learning and development in product ownership
• Prior experience in learning, education, or apprenticeships is a bonus but not required
• No specific formal qualifications are required; relevant industry experience is prioritised

• Be accountable for the quality of the release and enablement of Aptem’s products
• Be accountable for the Product Owners’ backlogs and release plans for their products, ensuring they are well-groomed, prioritised and updated
• Champion Agile methodologies, ensuring best practices are followed and continuously improved within the team
• Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders and product teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication
• Oversee the quality of products and features delivered, prioritising improvements, and maintaining health throughout product lifecycles
• Coach and mentor a team of Product Owners, ensuring their growth and effectiveness in product ownership roles
• Provide effective line management, including performance reviews and goal setting for your team of Product Owners
