Who you are
- We are seeking a dedicated and organized Team Assistant to join our dynamic team
- Fluent in German and English
- Completed commercial training or a Business Degree
- 1-2 years of experience in HR and Office Management is an advantage
- Excellent knowledge of Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides)
- Strong organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
- High communication and teamwork abilities
- Independent and structured working style
- Discretion and reliability
- Knowledge of Germany Labour Law Basics is a plus
What the job involves
- This role is essential in supporting the Corporate Office with various administrative and HR tasks, ensuring a productive and positive office environment
- Understand and support current administrative processes, policies, and procedures
- Manage HR documentation and support Health & Safety measures
- Establish strong working relationships with key team members
- Maintain an organized and well-stocked office environment
- Participate in and execute team events
- Improve administrative processes for efficiency
- Operate independently with reliability, discretion, and accuracy
- Integrate into the team, contributing positively to the team’s culture and goals
- Support Corporate Office with administrative tasks
- Create and manage employment contracts, work certificates, and other HR documents
- Assist with the implementation of Health & Safety measures
- Foster a positive and productive office environment; organize and manage office supplies
- Ensure the office is well-maintained and equipped, liaising with building management and IT to address any maintenance or technical issues
- Support in creating new guidelines and developing a knowledge database
- Maintain and update data in internal databases
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders
- Plan and execute team events
- You will be part of a dedicated and multicultural team that is passionate about improving agriculture worldwide
- Your work contributes to improving the livelihoods of farmers around the world by helping them achieve healthier and more productive crops
Our take
Plantix’s app helps family farmers and small farming enterprises achieve higher yields, conduct crop diagnoses with experts, and access a global social network of farmers. The company turns a profit by offering corporate packages, partnering with goods manufacturers, as well as selling diagnostic data about the spread of disease and smallholder farming to companies like BASF.
The service is, perhaps unsurprisingly, proving to be a runaway success for its millions of users. It works especially well in India, where there is a marked shortfall in advisory support for smaller farmsteads, and where online information may not be available in the necessary regional dialects.
Now it's planning to bring users from other parts of the world onto their service, although they may be limited geographically by what expansions would yield the most saleable data. Certainly, they are doing remarkable work, and they may begin to see increased global uptake if predictions about small farming being more sustainable come good.
