Who you are

At least two (2) years of experience in a technical engineer role
At least one (1) year of experience in AWS technical sales, preferably IT Channel Sales
Working knowledge of the AWS Well Architected Framework
Meaningful time spent with AWS Services (included but not limited to: Organizations, IAM, S3, CloudFormation, VPC, EC2, RDS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
DevOps Skillset (Git, Bash, Python, Containers, CICD)
Knowledge and understanding of how the Sales Channel works preferred but not required
Knowledge and understanding of AWS Partner Network
Knowledge and technical understanding of AWS Partner ecosystem (Cloud, Products and Offerings)
Strong communication, presentation, and meeting management skills
Excellent customer service skills
High level of organizational skills
High level of project managements skills
Required Education & Certifications:
B.A./B.Sc. in related field or equivalent work experience
Associate technical AWS certification required (Working towards Solution Architect Professional)

What the job involves

The Manager of AWS Technical contributes to revenue growth by supporting technical solutions, technical skilling and enablement, and by engaging with both internal and external audiences to drive adoption of AWS among Pax8 partners and prospects
Support the Pax8 AWS senior management team with AWS relationship
Support our Sales, Pre-sales and Service Delivery teams with AWS account management/migrations/queries
Bring proof of concept programs into production, and support going forward
Enhance existing programs with new features
Support the long-term success of programs that have been developed
Deliver programs to enable partners to succeed with Pax8
Support our Vendor Operations team with operational and billing queries and future development
Participate in AWS Pax8 events and trainings including delivering content where appropriate
Continued professional development of AWS technical and business skillsets

Our take

Cloud computing facilitates access to software products without having the computer power required to use them, presenting great opportunities for enterprises to benefit from cutting-edge software. However, managing subscriptions to cloud products can be a convoluted process unique to each software product, presenting the need for a unified accessibility solution.

Pax8 provides an online marketplace for cloud-based software, allowing businesses to order, bill, manage, and provision cloud products within a single place. The marketplace contains a curated catalogue of cloud providers, a license management dashboard, demo infrastructure and tools for billing and invoicing, ultimately ensuring that users do not need to navigate outside the platform to manage their cloud software inventory.

Whilst many of the services provided by Pax8 are already included in cloud software applications, the company has made the smart move of partnering with software providers such as Bam Boom Cloud to unify all management tools into a single platform. By ensuring companies can browse, purchase, and manage cloud solutions within the marketplace, the company aims to increase accessibility and minimise complexities associated with cloud computing.
