Who you are
- Advanced math and statistics skills, including linear algebra, calculus, and Bayesian statistics
- Advanced degree in computer science, math, statistics, or related
- Master's degree in machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, or related fields
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
- Software engineering skills
- Professional experience in data science
- Coding and programming languages: Python, C++, C, and CUDA
- Experience in working with ML frameworks
- Experience working with ML libraries and packages
- Understand data structure, data modeling, and software architecture
- Deep knowledge of computer architecture
- Comfortable working in English, Spanish is not a must-have
- Provide your GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket account to check your previous work
- You contribute to JAX, Tensorflow ecosystem, and or Pytorch
What the job involves
- Designing Machine Learning systems
- You can identify the architecture required to create a deep learning system to solve complex problems
- Researching and implementing machine learning algorithms and machine learning tools from scratch
- Selecting appropriate data sets to validate our libraries
- Picking appropriate data representation methods
- Identifying differences in data distribution that affects model performance
- Verifying data quality
- Transforming and converting data science prototypes
- Running machine learning tests
- Using results to improve models
- Training and retraining systems when needed
- Extending machine learning libraries, working at a very low level
- Developing machine learning apps according to product requirements

Joining the swathes of medical and scientific professionals embracing the benefits of artificial intelligence in medicine and healthcare, the founders of Madrid-based Idoven have extensive experience as scientific researchers for international healthcare institutions. The duo’s combined decades at CNIC and the European Society for Cardiology resulted in Idoven, a MedTech company focused on advancing technology for early-stage detection of and precision medicine for cardiovascular disease.
With notable backers including former Real Madrid football captain Iker Casillas claiming Idoven was “the artificial intelligence that saved” his life, the MedTech company has enjoyed a large amount of publicity since its founding in 2018. The company also partners with charities for vulnerable groups, such as people with Down Syndrome, to find early warning signs of cardiovascular problems. This successful marketing has helped Idoven achieve tens of millions of euros in grant, seed, and Series A funding.
With 2022’s 18 million euros and hefty grants from the European Innovation Council Fund under its belt, Idoven is developing and bettering its AI tech. A grant from EIT Health in 2023 will aid Idoven in its development of the first AI-based solution for the early detection of acute myocardial infarction.
