Role
Who you are
- 8+ years of software development experience, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role
- Deep expertise in C# .NET and familiarity with modern programming languages and frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality software products on time and within budget
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to lead cross-functional teams and align stakeholders
- Skilled at solving complex technical problems and making sound architectural decisions
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, applied pragmatically to suit team and project needs
Desirable
- Experience working in a B2C SaaS business
- Interest in Agile coaching and continuous improvement
- A love of writing and language in general
What the job involves
- Responsible for managing the team of engineers, and for making decisions on technical strategy within the team's domain.
- Responsible for the successful delivery of products that customers love and will pay for, achieved by working daily with Product and Design
- Take a leading role in Identifying and proactively prioritising technical architecture projects and the tackiling of technical debt
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills and performance
- Facilitate technical conversations, ceremonies and planning sessions to maintain team focus
- Be a force for good, ensuring that development practices are in line with industry best practices maintaining a high standard of quality for your teams outputs
- Continuously improve team productivity by identifying and implementing process improvements
- Effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure that expectations and timelines are managed efficiently
- Manage direct reports performance, including hiring, training, and performance reviews
