Who you are
- 3–5 years of marketing experience in a B2B technology company, preferably in security, cloud-native, or developer tooling spaces
- Experience supporting field or regional marketing initiatives across Europe
- Strong organisational skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple projects
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Digital, Partner Marketing, and Operations teams
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote-first, startup environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional European language(s) is a plus
- Experience with tools such as Salesforce and project management platforms is a plus
What the job involves
- We are looking for an EMEA Marketing Specialist to support the growth of the EMEA Go To Market team
- You will play a critical role in supporting the execution of our regional marketing strategy across EMEA working closely with Sales, Field Marketing within EMEA region and and the broader GTM team to help build pipeline, execute integrated campaigns, drive event strategy, and regionalise global content initiatives for EMEA audiences
- This is a high-impact, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys cross-functional collaboration, and is passionate about cybersecurity, DevOps, and developer-first technologies
- Field Campaign Support: Assist in planning, executing, and optimising regional demand generation campaigns across digital, events and partner marketing
- Events & Webinars: Support local event activations including trade shows, customer meetups, hosted webinars, and virtual experiences. Coordinate logistics, speaker prep, and follow-up tracking
- Localisation & Messaging: Help tailor global messaging and content assets to resonate with commercial and enterprise buyers across various European markets
- Lead Management: Ensure effective tracking of leads from field programs, monitor pipeline influence, and partner with BDRs and Sales to support follow-up and reporting
- Sales Enablement: Support the local sales team with regional toolkits, event decks, one-pagers, and campaign updates
- Digital Marketing: Collaborate with the EMEA Marketing and global digital teams to support regional paid programs, and content syndication in key markets
- Agency Coordination: Partner with regional PR, digital, and event agencies to support execution and quality control of deliverables
- Data & Insights: Track marketing KPIs and regional campaign effectiveness, reporting on ROI and areas for optimisation
Our take
Developers rely on open source code and apps in their day to day work, but when the provenance of the code is unknown this creates potential weaknesses that cybercriminals can exploit. Chainguard exists to build security into the coding supply chain by making it possible for companies to enforce security policies based on auditable signatures baked into the code, and by providing a security-first set of container images with no known vulnerabilities for cloud app developers.
In the wake of huge cyber attacks like the Log4j vulnerability and Solarwinds breach, software supply chain security has been an area of major focus for startups hoping to solve problems in this sector. However, most of these focus on scanning and detection of threats. Chainguard's approach comes from the other end of the process, focusing on building security into the software itself. It was built by former Google engineers aware of software developers existing workloads, so is designed to be easily installed and integrated into existing automation systems like Terraform.
Chainguard completed a Series C funding round led by Lightspeed Ventures in 2024, minting it as a new Unicorn on the cybersecurity scene. It is using this funding to expand its go-to-market internationally and expand its Chainguard Images product.
