Who you are

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of brand identity, a passion for thoughtful, effective design, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Motion design and video editing skills are a strong plus
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
Strong portfolio demonstrating multi-channel marketing design
Deep understanding of layout, typography, color, and design systems
Ability to balance creativity with performance objectives in a fast-paced environment
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
Familiarity with project management tools (Asana is a plus)
Experience designing for email and ecommerce platforms (Klaviyo is a plus)
Understanding of social-first design and digital marketing creative
Experience preparing files for print production (direct mail, retail signage, packaging)
Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) platforms and best practices for organizing and maintaining scalable asset libraries
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

What the job involves

We’re looking for a highly talented Graphic Designer with a refined eye and a strong point of view to help bring the Parachute brand to life across every touchpoint
In this role, you’ll be responsible for designing and executing creative assets across channels, ensuring a cohesive, elevated, and performance-driven visual expression of the brand
Reports to: Art Director
Design and execute brand creative across all marketing channels, including email, SMS, site, paid and organic social, direct mail, and retail/in-store placements
Partner closely with marketing, creative, and ecommerce teams to concept and deliver campaigns, product launches, and seasonal initiatives
Develop high-quality visual assets that drive engagement while maintaining brand integrity
Collaborate with copywriters and cross-functional teams to produce integrated marketing campaigns
Prepare and deliver production-ready files for both digital and print assets
Support the ongoing evolution and refinement of Parachute’s visual identity
Stay current with design trends, tools, technologies, and best practices
Maintain strong organization and version control across creative assets and projects
Maintain consistency with brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries
Stay current on design trends, tools, and best practices
Experience with motion graphics and video editing

Our take

Parachute provides responsibly manufactured modern home and bedding products. The company found a mid-range niche in the home goods sector that previously only offered high-end or budget options and has proven popular with consumers looking for quality goods that are not mass-produced. Its capitalizing on a trend of emerging specialist direct-to-consumer brands that began with companies like Warby Parker and Harry's.

Initially based purely online, Parachute has since launched several physical retail shops to attract new customers and boost its image. Its product range has focused on natural fibers and items made with manufacturing processes that don't use chemicals. Explicitly tailored towards the modern consumer, its direct-to-consumer model has been driven primarily by strong social media campaigns with influencers.
