- We need a strong Product Manager with expertise in end-user facing and/or platform products to realize this aspiration
- Brings 5+ years of experience in a product role
- Strong focus on user-experiences, from front-end UI through developer docs and technical integrations

What the job involves
- As a Product Manager within our Banking as a Service team, you’ll have the opportunity to own core APIs, embedded and hosted experiences, and partner integrations
- This role will play a critical role in delivering sophisticated financial services products to our users, with as small a footprint of technical and operational complexity required
- This is a highly complex and challenging role that will require you to deeply understand user needs and collaborate across internal and partner teams to build and launch a seamless product experience at scale
- This Product Manager will spend significant time with senior customer stakeholders to discuss strategy and roadmap, with external developers understanding their current pain points and needs, end users to build delightful experiences, and Stripe’s sales leadership to help win new business on Stripe
- Own key user journeys, from integration to core business operation
- Help shape the direction, define product strategy, and establish practices to address user needs
- Collaboratively partner with other Stripe teams (engineering, design, legal, risk, compliance, etc.) early in the product development lifecycle and jointly shape product plans that lead with delightful onboarding and integration experiences
- Own the roadmap and go to market, with product marketing, of your BaaS product area
- Act as the voice of the user in product and API designs, gathering direct feedback from customers
- Ensure we’re building in a scalable, performant way
Our take
Stripe, nowadays a FinTech giant, spent the first few years since its founding building up its payments business, which primarily consisted of providing an API to eCommerce businesses so that they could easily integrate a payments option in their apps or websites, where before there was none.
More recently, Stripe has started to accelerate its growth with a significantly larger range of financial services including cash advances and credit cards. They also plan to build incorporation services, fraud protection, and more, diversifying its revenue away from payments and differentiating itself from its competitors.
To further expand its position, the company is looking to triple its presence in Ireland, and extend its services to countries with vast customer potential, including Brazil and India. Its latest venture, coming atop significant new funds, is to partner with OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPT - a win-win collaboration that will monetize OpenAI’s flagship products and at the same time enhance Stripe with GPT-4, as it moves forwards with intentions to "build the payments foundation for tomorrow's AI economy."
