Role
Who you are
- The desired candidate has an impressive track record of closing strategic partnership deals and experience selling to highly technical companies or personas
- BA/BS and 5+ years of proven successful track record of business development, strategic partnerships, or sourcing new business within the ad tech ecosystem
- Demonstrated experience in data licensing and advertising technology, knowledge of CTV/OTT is preferred
- Experience working with or selling into agencies is preferred
- Having global experience working with partners
- Ability to work with and understand complex advertising and marketing landscape and drive deep relationships with stakeholders to deliver results
- Analytical, self-motivated, strategic and data-driven with a competitive drive to win in the market
- Comfortable working cross-functionally to help drive business results
- Strong internal and external communicator
- Entrepreneurial and efficient
- Customer centric; ability to translate problem statements into requirements
What the job involves
- As a Business Development Manager, Data Services you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive and shape Nexxen’s global data licensing initiative, focusing on licensing Nexxen’s unique data assets including our ACR data capabilities to drive game-changing revenue growth
- Your primary responsibilities include identifying, qualifying, pursuing and leading engagements with strategic data companies, agencies, and ad tech platforms globally
- This role will be based in the New York office
- Our team follows a hybrid schedule working in-office two days a week and remotely for the rest
- Source, vet and negotiate new data licensing opportunities across agencies, brands, measurements companies and technology companies globally
- Establish and nurture relationships with existing partners to drive adoption and grow revenue
- Develop and manage a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring accurate forecasting
- Provide front line feedback from prospects and customers where improvements are required, or gaps are identified
- Clearly demonstrate the strategic value of potential partnerships to key functional areas ensuring alignment
- Keep a pulse on the industry trends and collaborate to define and shape market-leading partnerships and initiatives
- Exemplify a culture characterized by a high level of performance and productivity
- Work cross-functionally in an agile manner with an openness to experiment and iterate to encourage innovation
Our take
Video has been an invaluable marketing tool for businesses since the beginning of TV advertisement, but modern technology has dramatically changed how such content is consumed. On-demand omnichannel streaming services and CTV has provided unique opportunities for advertisers to develop their audience engagement strategies, but without the appropriate technology platform, this can be difficult to navigate.
Nexxen provides an end-to-end self-service CTV & video marketing platform, helping to provide businesses with the appropriate engagement tools to future-proof their video marketing. The platform includes AI-driven analytic tools based on audience data, marketplaces for the self-serving of media for campaigns, in addition to analytic tools to assess the success of campaigns in real-time.
Whilst several other start-ups provide either video engagement tools or self-serve video marketing marketplaces, Nexxen has taken the smart angle of combining both into a single platform, whilst specialising in futureproofing companies for the rise in CTV engagement demands. The company aims to save clients money, time, and operational complexity by unifying where they operate their video advertisement campaigns into a single platform.
