Bud's perspective on technology is "never set in stone". Bud is an adaptable company and is willing to invest in their employees and upskill them in the newest technology. The decision to move to a GO stack was not easy, the biggest blocker being they had a PHP team. That didn't stop them though, they ran workshops during office hours to help give us the opportunity to learn and improve ourselves. Bud also provides a generous personal development package which I used to purchase more GO resources, as well as other tech related books/courses.

Communication isn't a one way street, Bud promotes open conversations with all of their employees to challenge or support decisions. This approach gives everyone the chance to have a voice and removes the idea of a one way communication stream.

We're a remote first organisation which has had a real positive on peoples lives, especially mine. We all still have the option to go into the office to see our friends and colleagues which is on booking system to ensure its safe and secure. I personally prefer starting earlier so I can finish earlier which I agreed with my lead so that it doesn't impact my duties nor meetings.
