Role
Who you are
- Technical Mastery: Deep expertise in ReactJS, Typescript, Node, and Postgres
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience building and scaling web applications
- Quality Focus: Demonstrable experience in ensuring the quality of applications, both in terms of clean and extensible code and user-centric design
- Action-oriented: A proven track record of taking initiative and making impactful contributions in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
- Familiarity or experience with Snowflake and dbt
- Prior experience in SaaS and/or HR Tech domains
- Experience leading or mentoring junior developers
What the job involves
- As a Founding Engineer at Knoetic, you will be more than just an engineer

- You will build, iterate, and scale across the stack, ensuring a seamless and effective experience for our users
- Design & Development: Build a scalable and maintainable SaaS product using ReactJS, Typescript, Node, CubeJS, and Postgres
- Technical Excellence: Ensure the highest quality of code, architecture, and design
- Action-Oriented Execution: Identify opportunities and act on them
- Lead and participate in quick product iterations
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and other engineers to design and prioritize features
- Collaborate on architectural decisions and design feasibility
- Mentorship: Cultivate the technical and professional growth of junior team members
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development and integrate them where appropriate
Our take
Gender and diversity gaps are a point of great attention in the current landscape of workforces. Hiring managers can gain great insights into their staff demographics through employee diversity statistics, but analyzing all of this information is time-consuming and complex. Knoetic provide software that aims to help HR workforces analyze employee data to make better employment decisions
The platform dashboard provides macro insights for large-scale employment decisions such as reducing the gender pay gap, in addition to granular data such as individual employee trajectories. The startup is not the only HR data analysis platform of its kind, with companies such as Tableau and Looker also providing insights on workforces in the form of data graphs.
Given the competition, Knoetic must work to consolidate a place for itself in the market.The company has grown significantly, growing from a headcount of 25 employees to now having over 260. In the long term, it wants continue to develop its predictive analytics engine aimed at helping HR issues like retention and turnover.
