Role
Who you are
- Proven experience in frontend development with a focus on MarTech and Growth, with at least 5 years of experience
- Track record of successfully integrating and optimizing MarTech tools and platforms
- Proficiency in Javascript programming language
- Proficiency in frontend technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and Server side rendering in Next.JS
- Experience with frontend frameworks/libraries and MarTech integrations (e.g., React, Next.JS, Google Tag Manager, etc.)
- Experience with Segment for event tracking
- Experience with cloud technologies such AWS, Heroku, Cloudflare etc
- Prior experience in Python and Django is a huge bonus
- Understanding of marketing concepts, conversion optimization, and user segmentation
- Familiarity with digital advertising and performance marketing principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
What the job involves
- We are seeking a results-driven and innovative Senior Frontend Engineer with a focus on MarTech (Marketing Technology) and Growth to play a key role in shaping the user experience and driving user acquisition and engagement
- The successful candidate will work closely with marketing and growth teams, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to optimize user interfaces and contribute to the overall success of our growth initiatives
- Lead website redesign and implementation in Next.JS
- Design and implement funnel changes
- Collaborate with marketing teams to integrate MarTech tools and platforms seamlessly into the frontend, ensuring efficient data tracking, analytics, and user segmentation
- Implement and optimize marketing tags, pixels, and other tracking mechanisms to support data-driven decision-making
- Lead initiatives to improve website conversion rates through A/B testing, user feedback analysis, and continuous optimization of the user interface
- Implement and enhance user journeys to maximize user engagement and conversion
- Develop frontend solutions that enable dynamic content personalization based on user behavior, demographics, and other relevant data
- Work closely with growth teams to implement and refine user segmentation strategies
- Support the implementation of landing pages and interactive elements for digital advertising campaigns, ensuring a seamless transition from ad to conversion
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement and maintain tracking for advertising performance
- Implement and maintain frontend analytics solutions to provide insights into user behavior, traffic patterns, and other relevant metrics
- Work with data analysts to interpret analytics data and provide recommendations for improving user experience and engagement
- Collaborate with growth teams to design and implement frontend experiments aimed at identifying and optimizing high-impact growth opportunities
- Iterate on user interfaces based on experiment results and user feedback

Collective is tapping into the quickly growing freelance and self employed workforce with a back office platform which provides full support for accounting, tax, bookkeeping and other financial admin, essentially removing the burden from the business owner entirely.
Launched in 2020, Collective didn’t take long to receive major backing from General Catalyst as well as Ashton Kutcher’s VC fund Sound Ventures. It’s put it to great use too, with an employee headcount now in the hundreds, showing just how fast the startup is growing.
Interestingly, Collective isn’t available for any and all subscribers. Rather, it only allows applicants to become members if Collective’s advisors know they can offer real value. It may seem a counter-intuitive move, but it keeps the company’s success rate high.
The company's latest funding round, raised in 2023, supports the accelerated implementation of AI across its operations as well as expanded onboarding efforts. Collective also continues to broaden the value of its offering, for example wit the launch of an AI accounting platform for one-person operations.
