Role
Who you are
- Ideal candidates will have experience making 40+ calls/day in a sales environment and closing/converting prospects
- At least 1 year of phone sales experience in financial services or a related field, including closing experience on the product sold
- Experience managing a customer pipeline and driving deals to close
- Ability to register as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) in the NMLS shortly after hire; multi-state licensing may be required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Comfortable using G Suite tools (Gmail, Calendar, etc.); CRM experience (like Salesforce) is a plus
- Familiarity with U.S. real estate or mortgage processing is helpful but not required
- Strong computer skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication skills, adaptable to change, and a collaborative team player
- Must have a home office and be able to operate in a space without outside distraction
- This position requires that you obtain and maintain a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) license under the terms of the SAFE Act and Regulation Z. You must secure this license within 60 days of your start date and keep it in good standing throughout your employment. As part of the licensing process, you will be subject to the required NMLS registration, which includes a criminal background and credit check. Point will cover all costs associated with obtaining your MLO license. Employment in this role is contingent upon meeting and maintaining these licensing requirements
What the job involves
- Join our team as an Account Manager, where you will play a key role in converting leads, generating revenue, and ensuring a positive homeowner experience
- You will manage and nurture a pipeline of homeowners through a structured sales process (heavy phone call volume), ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
- Continuously develop your skills in sales, customer service, and pipeline management, and take on special tasks that contribute to the company's growth and profitability
- Complete pre-scheduled consultative sales calls with homeowners to understand their financial needs, assess their suitability for a Home Equity Investment, and educate them on its key details
- Leverage CRM to strategically work a large lead volume and uncover revenue within aging lead sources
- Proactively reach out to leads to complete consultative sales calls
- Proactively reach out to homeowners to ensure acceptance of their initial estimate and final offers
- Reach out to homeowners to provide pricing/product-related updates
- Respond to homeowners’ pricing/product-related questions or concerns in a timely manner
- Direct homeowners to the assigned production team member (Processor or Closer) for the appropriate assistance
- Stay up to date with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
- Knowledge and Skill Development
- Attend department meetings, sales meetings, 1:1's, and company all-hands
- Complete assigned trainings
- Perform ad hoc sales tasks as they arise

Point provides property financing by providing a share of a homeowners equity in advance to fund the purchase of a new home. The startup evaluates the finances of an applicant and purchases their property, obtaining a stake in the property if it is sold within ten years.
Point claims to prevent their customers from taking on crippling debt to fund a property purchase, and has helped nearly 10,000 homeowners across the United States. The company is in the midst of an expansion from 16 to 28 total geographies in the coming year after acquiring series C funding in 2022.
