Role
Who you are
- Fluency in German and English is a must
- 8+ years of experience in complex B-to-B enterprise sales experience is required, preferably in a Saas company. Experience in supply chain is a plus, at least genuine interest
- Ability to operate in a rapidly-changing, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- Ability to work in full autonomy and in a context of capturing new markets strategically
- Track record of carrying a high annual quota. You are an overachiever, you always go the last mile to close your deals : you love challenge!
- You have a deep knowledge of sales process and methodology to deal with complex sales cycles. You are comfortable with addressing C-levels and senior executives in large groups and negotiating complex enterprise agreements
- You are able to sell across multiple lines of business (IT, transportation, procurement, logistics, operations, etc
What the job involves
- We are looking for our DACH Sales Director to accelerate the DACH market for Wakeo and conquer new businesses in Germany
- You will be the first (wo)man on the ground to evangelize our solution and conduct active networking to develop our local footprint
- This position is flexible in terms of location
- Drive market awareness and evangelize our solution
- Be responsible for Wakeo’s global sales target, especially in DACH region and generate new business by managing the full sales cycle, via a significant proportion of prospecting and high-quality networking
- Represent Wakeo at tradeshows, conferences, and webinars as a speaker to increase brand visibility
- Collaborate with market influencers such as consulting firms and SC software providers, in partnership with the Partnership Manager
- Contribute to the company’s go-to-market strategy, including ICP definition, product feedback, channel prioritization, client success stories, etc
- Become an expert of Wakeo’s product and the Supply Chain software market

Our take
During the pandemic, investment in logistics ramped up due to the need to switch to remote tracking, as well as create solutions to counteract new limits to movement. However, since then the sector has seen many of its issues overlooked, despite an urgent need to address things like infrastructure congestion and extended transit times.
Wakeo hopes to answer these issues, by bringing real-time visibility to intercontinental freight transport flows across shipping, air, and road. Its platform combines IoT and alogirthmic technology to give export and import teams intelligent ETAs that factor in the shifting sands of supply chain disruptions. Using this data, Wakeo’s customers have the power to optimise transport plans, reduce emergency costs and enhance the management of their inventories.
With international shipping as unpredictable as ever, it’s no surprise that Wakeo enjoyed $19.6 million in funding in December 2023. This funding is being put towards the company’s expansion, as well as consolidating its path to sustainability, as goods transportation makes up 17% of global emissions.
