Data Platform Manager, Built Technologies

• The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills, a track-record of managing a small high-performing team, proven data infrastructure design and implementation capabilities, strong business acumen, and an innate drive to deliver results for our clients
• He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• A desire to work in a collaborative, intellectually curious environment and a proven track record of nimble delivery
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent coursework or experience
• 3+ years experience managing a team of at least three data engineers and 5+ years experience as an individual contributor data engineer
• Experience managing an integrated data environment powered by Snowflake and DBT
• 3+ years developing within and supporting business intelligence tools - we use Sigma and Tableau
• Proven track record of sharing outcomes through written communication, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

• Built is looking for an experienced Data Platform Manager to drive forward Built's suite of customer-facing data products and to empower internal analytics and application development
• In this role, you will split your time between hands-on development and people leadership activities
• You will own the self-service reporting platform that our customers rely on for analytics and optimize the data pipelines that power it
• You will partner with data product management to gather requirements through direct interaction with engineering teams, product teams, business partners, and others
• You will optimize and track the performance of our data environments and related capabilities, constantly evolving our system to ensure performance, security, and scale for the business
• Your primary partner in this role will be the product manager for our external data products
• Manage and lead the Data Platform Team which focuses on data modeling, warehouse performance, streaming event infrastructure and more
• Drive forward commercial viability of Built’s data products, including our reporting suite, data sharing offerings and future benchmarking and predictive tools while delivering an outstanding experience for our customers
• Ensure that all data environments are secure, performant, scalable, and highly fault tolerant
• Work with principal engineers and other teams to move larger engineering initiatives forward
