Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally with marketplace experience or delivery logistics
- Experience designing and implementing solutions focused on delivery or logistics
- Proven experience innovating on behalf of customers. You're not just about maintaining the status quo - you strive to understand what customers truly need and find creative solutions
- Deep analytic ability, comfort working with and manipulating data, building hypotheses to inform innovative solutions
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills; you’re happy spending much of your day collaborating with team members in different functional areas
What the job involves
- The Product Management team is looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to focus on the ezCater Delivery platform
- In this position, you will build a best-in-class delivery experience for our customers, restaurant partners, drivers, and internal team members that enables them to deliver food for work on-time and in-full
- You will partner with the engineering, user experience design, and research teams to develop tools for our restaurant and delivery partners that enables them to effectively and efficiently deliver ezCater orders
- You will ensure that our restaurant and delivery partners have the technology that they need to create a great customer experience
- Drive the vision and develop a roadmap for a delivery platform for our restaurant and delivery partners
- Develop internal tools to ensure our team can effectively monitor and manage delivery partners
- Tell a compelling story using research and data to evangelize the roadmap and vision
- Build deep empathy for ezCater users and become their biggest champion
- Lead product initiatives and work collaboratively across a cross-functional team including Design, Research, Engineering, Data Analysis, ML/AI and other Product Managers to define, prioritize, and build new functionalities and improved user experiences
- Continuously identify areas for innovation and improvement, and implement strategies to keep us ahead, ensuring our marketplace delivers an unparalleled user experience
- Create and monitor the ongoing metrics that measure and define success
- Travel to Boston quarterly for planning and business reviews
- Have fun building impactful software with awesome people

Our take
ezCater is an online marketplace app that provides catering options for businesses, working with food providers who enter their menus onto the app for customers to browse. ezCater sends each store its orders and handles customer service while the food providers fulfil the orders.
ezCater profits by charging a small commission on all orders that restaurants fulfil. The company counts JLL, RingCentral and the San Francisco 49ers among its customers. It previously fuelled expansion through acquisitions such as online catering platform GoCater in 2018 and MonkeySoft Solutions in 2019.
ezCater has enjoyed strong growth so far, in part by focusing on meal deliveries to a growing hybrid workforce as an employee benefit. It has been eyeing an IPO for some time, though these plans are yet to come to fruition. In the meantime, it has continued to develop its technology and unveiled a new supplier diversity program to uplift small businesses owned by underrepresented groups.
