Who you are
- Be a builder - you are technically confident, like to be hands on and prototype your own ideas
- Be curious and able to develop a strategy for a feature based on your own experience and user research
- Discuss feasibility and refine the strategy with our engineering and data science teams
- Negotiate scope and balance this with desired delivery date
- Be able to form their own opinions on feature vision and debate pros and cons both within the product team and with engineering
- Take the lead on delivering a feature from idea to production
- We operate on a strong opinions weakly held belief model that influences how we develop products, you probably have a similar way of working
What the job involves
- Our Evaluate service derives insights from digitized risk information based on criteria such as appetite fit, portfolio strategy, automation thresholds and other configurable rules
- These insights power use cases such as routing, accelerated underwriting and straight through processing
- You will lead the transformation of the service into a fully self-service product as well as leveraging opportunities from new advances in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to better solve user needs
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Contribute to the overall product strategy and develop a detailed roadmap for your assigned product area, aligned with the company's vision
- User Research & Analysis: Conduct user research, analyze user data, and gather market insights to understand user needs and identify opportunities for product improvement
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer discovery to identify opportunities and unmet needs. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies, particularly within the AI/LLM landscape
- Requirements Gathering & Prioritisation: Elicit, analyse, and document product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Prioritise features and functionalities based on business value, technical feasibility, and user impact
- Product Development & Execution: Collaborate closely with engineering, data and design functions throughout the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch. Ensure timely and high-quality product delivery
- Communication & Collaboration: Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress effectively to stakeholders across the organisation. Foster strong cross-functional collaboration and build consensus
Our take
Insurance is vital to the economy, giving businesses the confidence to realise their ambitions in the face of uncertainty, but the underlying systems that insurance is built on are broken. Cytora is creating new foundations for insurance by providing insurers with the building blocks they need to deliver efficient, accurate underwriting and seamless customer experiences.
Cytora's platform enables risk submissions to be digitised, consistently evaluated using internal and external data sources and automatically processed for underwriting decision making. This means that risks can be digitally processed, maximising automation levels and delivering enhanced control over risk selection.
In 2022, Cytora partnered with global specialist insurer Beazley, which was followed by a series of milestones for the company, including partnerships with Moody's RMS, Chubb, and Ecclesiastical. Since launching version 3.0 of its platform, Cytora has been eyeing the US for its next expansion strategy.
