Who you are
- Enterprise SaaS or institutional sales experience, selling into the Payments space
- Passion for blockchain technology and cryptocurrency
- Experience within financial services, cybersecurity, or cryptocurrency is preferred
- Experience in formalising and supporting the co-sell motion in working with technology partners is preferred
- Track record of over-achievement in an enterprise sales position
- Entrepreneurial and relentless hunting attitude
- A willingness to prospect and qualify for new opportunities
- Thrives in a team-selling environment
What the job involves
- Joining the EMEA Fireblocks sales team, you will drive growth for Fireblocks within blockchain payments sector in the DACH region
- As a key member of a leading blockchain and cybersecurity firm, you will target PSP, Cross-Border, Remittances and various other payment providers whilst collaborating closely with regional sales teams, Sales Engineers, and the Payments product team
- Meeting and exceeding monthly and quarterly revenue targets
- Collaborating with the Fireblocks BDR and GTM teams to generate and qualify leads
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with prospects and customers
- Conducting prospecting, territory, and account planning to identify new opportunities
- Keeping the Fireblocks CRM up-to-date with accurate account and pipeline information
Our take
The derivatives market has always been attractive for larger investors, but some of the hurdles to overcome are capital efficiency, custody and security. Fireblocks allows for the trading of derivatives on any asset, using any form of collateral while receiving cross-margin benefits across counterparties. Essentially, it enables institutional traders to move digital assets without the operational or security headache.
Fireblocks is banking on assets like cryptocurrencies becoming a new part of the mainstream trade of financial institutions. Although cryptocurrencies are known for being notoriously unstable, when traded properly they can be hugely profitable. So, in a safer landscape, there is a lot of incentive for new participants.
Basically, by raising security standards, a new crop of institutional entities is able to set up shop in the crypto world. This means more business for Fireblocks, and a stabler market which then attracts even more interested parties. The company continues to develop its offering, for example through the recent acquisition of TRES which enables it to deliver the first complete operating system for digital assets.
