Role
Who you are
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field
- 2-4 years experience as a Business Analyst in Fintech and consulting
- Wealth management experience preferred
- Experience in technical scope documentation and solution configuration for B2B customers with track record of scope and change control
- Proficiency in metadata and data dictionary management with CSV, JSON and spreadsheets using Excel/Google Sheets and/or similar data treatment tools
- Ability to manage large datasets, spreadsheets and understand querying this data
- Experience in client-facing roles, ideally as part of customer success or project management role
- Understanding of Project Management and SaaS delivery
What the job involves
- We are seeking a full-time Business Analyst to be part of our Implementation team
- As the Business Analyst, you will help our enterprise customers implement OneVest products and services
- Reporting to an Implementation Manager, you’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand customer’s business objectives, gather requirements, conduct analysis, and define, develop, and deliver optimum solutions

- Implementation Requirements & Configuration (50%)
- Participate in Customer meetings led by the Implementation Manager to capture and document requirements pertaining to configurations for workflows, user views, role permissions, administration settings, data ingestion and integration requirements
- Collaborate with Implementation Manager, Solution Engineers, and Product Managers to analyze requirements captured and develop solutions to implement them
- Analyze customer data to identify existing data elements in the OneVest data dictionary and add in collaboration with Solution Engineers and Product Managers add new entries as appropriate
- Perform data mapping by manipulating CSV, JSON, and/or spreadsheets to support data ingestion
- Configure and implement the solutions developed
- Drive Quality Control through unit testing and validation of configurations
- Project Coordination (30%)
- Support the Implementation Manager in delivering multiple simultaneous customer projects
- Provide timely updates on assigned tasks to Implementation Manager and project stakeholders
- Collaborate with Implementation Manager to identify and report project risks and escalate issues according to project work plan
- Provide subject matter expertise to customers to assist in navigating their implementation from project kick-off through to launch
- Drive quality of configurations through unit testing and validation
- Provide customer demos of configurations and deliverables pre hand-off for User Acceptance Testing
- Improve Documentation & Processes (10%)
- Collaborate with internal teams (Product & Technology, Implementation, Revenue) to improve the seamless transition of the customer from implementation to business as usual
- In collaboration with internal teams (Product and Implementation), contribute to development of customer-facing content; training documentation, knowledge base, and FAQs
- Continuously contribute to improving internal processes, procedures, and templates to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Review and provide feedback on work progress to ensure it meets project objectives
- Ability to manage & prioritize multiple fast-paced projects at any given time

Wealth management has historically been the preserve of, well, the wealthy. Now, however, fintech developments have seen a flurry of startups bringing these services to the everyday consumer. The only problem is that assembling the right team, building a good product, and jumping through the regulatory licensing hoops can really hobble the rate of progress. OneVest has developed a suite of turnkey digital investment solutions to help these startups pick up the pace.
OneVest’s APIs allow tech companies and financial institutions to embed digital wealth management services in their client-facing products. Recent years have seen a rise in demand for digital wealth management and investment services, so the relatively young OneVest was savvy in identifying and closing in on this market opportunity.
OneVest has in fact moved impressively fast to build out its tech stack and secure various kinds of regulatory licensing since its launch. This demonstrates a real appetite and capacity for disruption. It will likely prove critical in securing a leading position in Canada’s as-of-yet relatively rigid wealth management sector.
