Who you are

  • A masters or Ph.D. degree in computer science, mathematics or related areas with extensive research/project experience in data science, experimentation, digital product optimization, math, statistics, etc
  • Have built and extensively used data pipelines in a variety of data warehouse environments
  • Proficiency with Python and SQL
  • Has 5+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist in the past and is familiar with the Experimentation space, including hands-on experience using experimentation products and scaling experimentation programs
  • Are interested and comfortable communicating with customers as a trusted advisor
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills, including interest in writing blogs for Amplitude/on LinkedIn, participating in webinars, events, etc
  • Can represent the voice of the market and share feedback and views to Product

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a Experiment Product Evangelist to join the Experiment team within Amplitude
  • You will be part of a passionate group of product managers, engineers and designers who are working to help modern businesses transform their products through data and experimentation
  • As a Experiment Product Evangelist, you have a unique opportunity to deeply influence the product with your knowledge and views on advanced statistical methodologies, customers who are looking to learn from an expert on experimentation best practices, and the market with your views on the world of experimentation
  • Spend ~75% of your time with customers/prospects, providing strategic advice and insights to customers, partners and internal teams on experimentation best practices and methodologies
  • Work closely with Account Executives and Solution Engineers on customer presentations, demos, and Q&A on advanced statistical topics
  • Partner with Product and Go-to-Market to develop, refine, and articulate Amplitude's vision and product strategy for Experimentation, including translating customer needs into actionable product roadmaps
  • Stay on the leading edge of experimentation and applied statistics
  • Create compelling content, deliver educational initiatives, engage with our community, represent Amplitude at conferences and trade shows, and evangelize Amplitude's Experiment product and methodologies both internally and externally
  • Foster a culture of shared expertise, uplifting the knowledge base of those around you

Amplitude provides product analytics to help companies understand user behaviour. Product, marketing, and growth teams use Amplitude to discover and share insights about user engagement, retention, and revenue.

Amplitude’s user flows reveal which actions are the most commonly taken after users sign up, and which usually precede purchases made in-app, creating paths through the app. The behaviour of individual app users can be viewed with unlimited real-time activity feeds and user timelines.

Thousands of companies use Amplitude analytics including Microsoft, Under Armour, Intuit, Twitter, Bonobos, Peloton, and many more. In 2024, a securities fraud case was filed against Amplitude due to an IPO and stock share rise that was alleged to be artificially inflated before their downturn in 2022. Whilst this case is ongoing, Amplitude is still releasing new products and operating at full capacity.
