Who you are
- We’re looking for a highly skilled engineer who is passionate about building outstanding user experiences in the healthcare space

- Minimum 5 years of professional experience with React Native and React, including TypeScript, and related data fetching and state management libraries (e.g. TanStack Query, Redux)
- Experience with Next.js, both App and Pages router, is highly desirable
- Proficient in writing and maintaining unit tests and snapshot tests to ensure code reliability and quality (e.g. react-testing-library, jest)
- Hands-on experience with native build tools like XCode and Android Studio
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest front-end development technologies and trends
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
What the job involves
- We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to join our team at marta
- As a key member of our product & tech team, you’ll work on our platform and mobile apps, shaping the digital interface through which families and caregivers connect
- Collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver features for our web and mobile applications
- Evaluate and decide on the appropriate balance between writing clean code and shippable code, based on project urgency and deadlines
- Lead the development and maintenance of our React Native and React applications, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and scalability
- Optimize code for efficiency, ensuring minimal redundancy and maximal performance
- Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical guidance and fostering a collaborative learning environment

Berlin-based Marta is a live-in care platform that connects families with caregivers. The company became active in over four countries soon after its founding and now boasts over 13,000 families using its services.
Its founders conceived the concept following their experience in finding 24 hour care for their grandparents. The market was complicated and overpriced, and the available agencies took most of the caregiver's salary. Marta exists to change this.
Following seed funding led by Capnamic, the company has invested capital into expanding its core teams in Germany, Poland, Romania and Lithuania whilst scaling up business processes. The hole in the market it is filling coupled with its already impressive growth puts Marta on an exciting trajectory moving forwards.
