To open up connectivity to the world
With 17 billion connected and IoT devices predicted across global consumers by 2030, mobile virtual network operators are facing a huge potential market. However, the business models of companies like Airalo and Nomad focus more on roaming connectivity rather than local. The latter is less expensive and faster, which is why Bondio is tapping into this market through integrating local connectivity from 200 different telecom companies.
Bondio uses a single integration to resell local connectivity which means that when overseas, travellers can utilise local networks rather than roaming networks, speeding up connection and costing less money. Furthermore, it's more legally compliant to international law, simplifying the process and improving device connection.
The long term market for local connectivity is huge, and though Bondio was only founded in 2023, it’s already enjoyed seed funding from Deutsche Telekom who have recognised the potential in its unique local offering. If Bondio can sustain global growth, it has a huge potential market that is more than ready for an alternative to slow and cumbersome networking roaming.
