Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering or business with strong technical background
- 10+ years of product management experience with strong knowledge of cloud data warehousing platforms (Snowflake, Google BigQuery, Amazon Redshift), Data Lakes and/or Vector databases
- Familiarity with key AI concepts (i.e. prediction/inferencing/forecasting, RAG) and other data related technologies (data pipelines, data preparation, ETL processes) while understanding integration between the two to improve and optimize user experiences
- Experience in engaging with customers during the PoC phase, gathering feedback, and using insights to drive product refinement and customer success
- Strong external evangelism background, including speaking at industry events, publishing thought leadership content to elevate product presence
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence external stakeholders, including customers, and the broader industry
- Expertise in positioning and technical competitive analysis, with the ability to adjust messaging based on customer feedback and PoC insights
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, engineering) to ensure meaningful business outcomes
What the job involves
- As the Director of Product Management, you will lead the development and execution of product strategies, but your role will extend beyond traditional product management. You will be working directly with key customers to validate the product’s value proposition and drive adoption.
- Additionally, you will serve as a thought leader and market evangelist, engaging with industry, influencers, and customers to ensure the product is not only customer-centric but also positioned for success in the market
- Customer Advocacy: Serve as the customer-facing product expert and technology evangelist, present the product roadmap, and drive successful outcomes. Drive and participate in Customer Advisory Board and EBCs (Executive Briefing Center). Work with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure product adoption. Sponsor customer success stories and references
- Evangelism & Thought Leadership: Create/share thought-leadership content (blogs, case studies) that highlight the product’s unique value while solving real customer problems.
- Represent the company by speaking in industry events, conferences and webinars. Promote products and generate demand through customer roadshows and events. Support developing enablement content/materials that position our products effectively
- Product Strategy & Planning: Define the vision for the product that aligns with the company’s overall strategy and goals. Conduct market research to understand trends, customer pain points, competitor offerings, target personas and industry innovations.
- Use customer and POC feedback to refine product features and adjust product-market fit. Use frameworks like RICE (Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort) to prioritize product improvements based on business impact, customer value, and technical feasibility

Firebolt is a data storage company that works with big tech and corporations to help store and analyse the massive amounts of data that the tech industry amasses. Whilst the norm might be for companies to use several data storage services to look after their information, Firebolt offers an all-in-one package that it claims to be a “new kind of cloud data warehouse”.
Firebolt is not without competitors though. Having only emerged from stealth in 2020, the company competes against legacy data storage leaders Snowflake and BigQuery. But with such a huge injection of funding and influential ex-Google engineer Mosha Pasumansky as its CTO, Firebolt is making a name for itself.
