Who you are

5+ years creating and building content experiences with a proven track record of crafting engaging and effective content across various platforms
Experience driving Content Design in a SaaS environment, with a focus on making complex interactions feel simple
Portfolio demonstrating content strategy, systems thinking, and measurable impact on user experience
Strong understanding of UX principles, inclusive design, and content best practices
Experience with content research methods, such as card sorting, tree testing, and A/B testing to inform content decisions
Experience writing content that is accessible and can be easily localized
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a cross-functional team
Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

What the job involves

We're looking for a Senior Content Designer who will shape how millions of users experience our product, through words
You'll own our product's voice and tone while collaborating closely with Designers to make our product more usable, accessible, and delightful
As a key player in shaping the user experience, your work will directly impact our users' satisfaction and the success of our products
The Design Team at Calendly is a tight knit group of creatives working closely with Product Management and Engineering to craft amazing experiences for our users
We believe that great design starts with talking with our users, and that the best solutions come from interdisciplinary collaboration
Own the voice and tone of the product, making sure it’s used consistently
Build content design systems, strategies, and guidelines that scale with our growing team and product offering, ensuring a unified approach to content creation
Switch seamlessly between high level strategic thinking and detail level execution of writing copy
Improve usability through clear, actionable writing in product
Conduct and collaborate on user research to test content effectiveness and iterate based on user feedback
Work closely with Designers, Researchers, Developers, Product Managers, and Marketing to understand user goals, and craft meaningful, clear content
Advocate for accessibility and inclusion by implementing content strategies that make our product accessible to a diverse range of users

Our take

Calendly is a cloud-based scheduling service that is straightforward to use. It allows around 10 million customers per month to connect and make appointments based on their available times without having to send emails back and forth.

The platform offers four different plans - allowing individuals, small companies, and large enterprises alike to make use of these services. Calendly's growth to date been based mostly around a very organic strategy. Its invites become links to Calendly itself, so people who like it can, and do, start to use it.

There are a handful of competing products on the market, including offerings from Doodle and Microsoft, but Calendly's customer-friendly design has won it attention and allowed it to carve itself a space in the field. Impressive funding has contributed to the company's expansion, allowing it to capitalize on the increasing popularity of home and hybrid working.
