Who you are
- This role requires a visionary leader with experience scaling culturally relevant and aspirational brands while preserving their authenticity at scale
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, including a track record of scaling culturally influential and aspirational brands from millions to tens of millions of MAUs or hundreds of millions of revenue
- Expertise in integrated marketing, including brand campaigns, digital advertising, and market management
- Proven success in performance marketing, particularly on platforms like Meta and Search, with strong ROI
- Hands-on experience with CRM tools like Braze, leveraging them to maximize engagement and growth
- Deep understanding of cultural trends and the ability to maintain authenticity at scale
- Experience working with digital products targeting women, LGBTQ+ communities, or similar audiences
- Strong leadership skills with a history of building and mentoring high-performing teams
- Data-driven mindset with expertise in analytics, attribution, and A/B testing
- Entrepreneurial and solution-oriented, with the ability to identify and execute breakout growth opportunities
- Excellent project management skills, thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong cultural awareness and the ability to authentically connect with diverse user groups
What the job involves
- We are building an inclusive, human-centred product and are looking for a VP of Marketing to become part our remote team and our mission to elevate the human experience of sexuality and relationships
- You will lead fully integrated marketing efforts that drive Feeld’s growth and solidify its position as the best-kept secret in the dating app world
- Your scope will include brand marketing, digital marketing, market management, and experiential campaigns
- You will build strategies that authentically enhance Feeld’s reputation, resonate with our diverse member base, and increase awareness across all walks of life
- You will own and expand partnerships, ambassador programs, and influencer collaborations, while managing local market teams that execute marketing and commercial activities in key geographies beginning with the UK, US, London, Los Angeles, and New York and scaling to more markets around the world
- All of this will complement your leadership of our digital marketing initiatives, ensuring that all channels work seamlessly to deliver growth in awareness, acquisition, and user engagement
- Develop and lead strategies for large-scale brand campaigns with global reach, incorporating experiential and IRL activations
- Collaborate with the VP of Creative and Communications team to create marketing plans aligned with brand goals and values
- Cultivate and scale Feeld’s partnerships, ambassador programs, and influencer marketing efforts to enhance visibility and affinity
- Ensure Feeld maintains its cultural resonance and aspirational appeal by delivering authentic campaigns that deeply connect with members and prospective users
- Oversee local market managers responsible for executing marketing and commercial activities in priority geographies
- Develop tailored strategies for key markets such as London, Los Angeles, and New York, ensuring local relevance and impact
- Lead high-impact advertising campaigns on channels such as Meta and Search, driving measurable ROI and user growth
- Own CRM and lifecycle marketing, leveraging tools like Braze to deliver personalized, timely, and on-brand messaging
- Foster a test-and-learn culture, ensuring campaigns across all channels are innovative and data-driven
- Build and execute cohesive marketing strategies that unify brand, digital, and market-level initiatives
- Drive coordinated efforts across teams, ensuring a consistent and impactful user journey from awareness to retention
- Partner with Product, Creative, and Data teams to ensure all marketing activities align with Feeld’s voice and values
- Define key metrics, track performance, and deliver actionable insights to the COO and executive leadership
- Build and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
Application process
- Your first conversation with Feeld will be a screening call with our recruiter, where you’ll be able to ask - and receive answers - regarding any general questions you have and to confirm the role is a fit for what you’re seeking
- Your second conversation will connect you directly with the hiring manager for the role you’re applying to. Here, you’ll have a chance to ask more questions about the work you’ll be doing. This conversation will also focus on your past work experiences
- The next step for most of our roles is a candidate challenge. This is an evaluation of the skills relevant to be successful in this role and generally takes about an hour to complete
- Your third conversation allows you the opportunity to meet the team members you might be working with on a daily basis. Here, you’ll be able to ask questions about team processes, workflow, and the employee experience at Feeld
- We generally make an offer within 2 weeks of our final call, and offer a flexible start date that can begin as early as the next Monday after you sign our offer documentation
- Of note: all of our interviews are conducted remotely, and our interviewers will work with you to find an agreeable interview time based on mutual availability
Our take
If you're looking for any kind of unconventional connection on a dating app, you might recognise the feeling of burnout. Major apps cater mostly to heteronormative ideals, where monogamy, long term relationships and marriage are the ideal, or else are designed solely for hookups. Feeld is a dating app for people who are looking for something else.
Feeld was launched quietly in 2014 and has steadily grown, exploding in popularity only recently as part (and possibly a driver) of a revolution of sorts, where people have begun to feel a lot more free about exploring sex, kink and non-monogamy. In the dating app landscape, it is still a relatively small and young player, raking in a fairly small proportion of a market estimated at about $8 billion in 2022. However, it faces little direct competition in its niche, is wildly popular with its user base, and has a lot of room to grow as sexual attitudes continue to change.
Feeld has recently named a new CEO, Ana Kirova, the inspiration for the startup (part of its appeal is its lovely origin story). She wants to continue to build on its foundations of inclusivity, as Feeld looks to continue to invest in the user experience of the app and broaden its user base.
