Role
Who you are
- You have 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or a highly analytical strategic finance/bizops role at a fast-growing startup (ideally fintech)
- You are a world-class modeler. You can build complex, dynamic financial models from scratch and use them to drive strategic decisions
- You understand capital markets. You have experience with or a strong understanding of debt facilities, asset-backed financing, and working with capital providers
- You are highly analytical and technical. You are an expert in Excel/Google Sheets and ideally have strong SQL skills to pull your own data
- You act like an owner. You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and get something done yourself. You treat RevenueCat's balance sheet, product, and brand like it's your own
- You thrive in ambiguity. You are comfortable making low-information, high-stakes decisions. You can quickly get to confidence, move on, and iterate
- You're a systems thinker. You can step back from the particular and see the process. You look for opportunities to automate and build things that scale
- You know when it's good enough. You are obsessed with getting things right, but you know when you're at diminishing returns. You balance detail, speed, and ambition without losing sight of impact
What the job involves
- We're looking for an Analyst to join the RevenueCat Capital product team. This is a unique hybrid role that blends product strategy, financial modeling, and capital markets execution — and join on the ground floor of a brand new business line
- As we scale our first financial products, we need an analyst to help us model new business opportunities (like credit cards and cohort-based financing) to inform our strategy on what to build next and why
- You will also partner closely with our Head of Finance to assess and close financing for the RC Capital balance sheet, serving as the point person for diligence and ongoing reporting to financing partners, internal leadership, and the board
- RC Capital is our next chapter: we'll continue to help developers make more money, not just through software, but through financial products
- Our first product is Daily Payouts: a factoring product that lets developers get app store proceeds sooner. We believe Daily Payouts alone is a $10M+ revenue opportunity. But RevenueCat Capital is a $100M+ revenue opportunity. There is so much more to build: credit cards, revenue-based lending, cohort-based financing. We'll be exploring it all
- Model new business opportunities: Build rigorous financial and strategic models for potential new products (e.g., credit cards, cohort-based financing) to help inform our product roadmap. Answer the critical questions: what should we do next, and why?
- Support capital markets execution: Partner with the Head of Finance to assess, structure, and close financing facilities for the RC Capital balance sheet
- Own diligence and reporting: Serve as the primary point person for diligence requests and ongoing reporting to external financing partners, internal leadership, and the Board of Directors
- Bridge finance and product: Translate complex financial requirements and constraints into actionable insights for the product and engineering teams
- Operate with high ownership in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment — helping to define the long-term vision for our financial products
