Data Systems Intern, Lightmatter

• The ideal candidate will be hands-on, capable of building and testing integrations and solutions catering to a variety of stakeholder needs
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis
• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift
• Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Dagster or Airflow, and data modeling frameworks such as dbt or sdf
• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Our Data Platform team is the central hub for all engineering data, enabling efficient workflows and decision-making across multiple engineering verticals
• We are seeking a Data Analytics and AI Intern to help evaluate, prototype, and downselect Business Intelligence (BI) and AI integration tools for our data platform
• Research, evaluate, and compare different BI tools based on technical capabilities, business requirements, and ease of integration with Snowflake
• Build prototypes and proof-of-concept dashboards to test tool capabilities
• Work with Snowflake AI tools to assess their role in our data pipeline and reporting workflows
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and provide a recommendation for tool selection
• Present findings and recommendations via bi-weekly demos with stakeholders and leadership teams
• Hands-on experience evaluating and implementing a BI tool in a real-world, high-impact environment
• Exposure to cutting-edge AI and analytics tools within the Snowflake ecosystem
