Who you are

  • This role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between data engineering and market needs, and leverage groundbreaking technology to deliver a market-leading product
  • 5+ years of experience in file system or object storage development, architecture or product management
  • Deep technical understanding of file systems, storage controllers, storage hardware
  • Deep understanding of scalable systems
  • A proven history of working alongside rapid-paced R&D teams to enable their success
  • A proven track record of being customer-facing and revenue-centric
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • A proven ability to work collaboratively across time zones and countries, and to report up to management

What the job involves

  • VAST Data is looking for a Product Manager, Data Engine to join our growing team!
  • The VAST Data Engine Product Manager will be the driving force behind our innovative data processing platform that integrates data streaming, real-time analytics, and AI training
  • You will be responsible for defining and executing the product strategy for a platform that supports dynamic data handling with functions and triggers, embedded procedural logic, and a containerized computing environment
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure the VAST Data Engine delivers unparalleled value!
  • Determine vision, feature requirements and articulate product strategy incorporating technology trends, customer feedback and competitive research
  • Own and develop the roadmap, requirements, feature tradeoffs, etc. for enterprise level storage systems
  • Meet with customers and partners to understand product use cases
  • Collaborate cross functionally with engineering, technical marketing, product and sales teams to define vision, create key messaging and help drive business
  • Must develop competitive materials and collateral for sales org and customer presentations
