Who you are
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field
- Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field plus five years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation

What the job involves
- Write code and documentation as an example of “how things should be done” and set the standard for the team
- Esponsible for an entire functional area with in-depth knowledge
- Identify gaps and issues across systems and functional areas, propose technical solutions, and drives resolution
- Takes project features and scopes them into sub-tasks for ease of execution by others and removes potential issues before they become blockers
- Creates feature design and test plans
- Rovide guidance, communicate technical risks and trade-offs, and influence decisions
- Maps business problems to solutions that will be produced at eBay
- Drives ramp, launch, and observability in production. Champions engineering excellence in best practices as well as advanced concepts like security, scalability, performance, and availability
- Design and implement new platform services and solve complex problems
- Prepare technical design documentation and review code with extended software engineering teams
- 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m
