Role
Who you are
- 10+ years of experience in business operations, product operations, or cross-functional leadership within consumer brands
- Deep expertise in soft goods product development
- You are fluent in how products move from concept through sampling, development, approvals, production, and launch
- Experience building or improving cross-functional go-to-market processes
- Exceptional relationship-building and influence skills with the ability to establish trust quickly across teams and senior stakeholders
- Strong situational leadership and negotiation skills when navigating competing priorities
- A builder’s mindset with the ability to introduce structure where needed, while remaining pragmatic and flexible
- High standards, strong follow-through, and a bias toward action
- Experience working within brands known for strong product development and go-to-market operating models in soft goods, apparel, or consumer goods environments is a plus

What the job involves
- As Brooklinen continues to grow, how we bring new products from concept to market is more important than ever. We’re hiring a Director, Business Operations — Product & Go-To-Market to strengthen the connection between product development and go-to-market execution—bringing greater clarity, accountability, and momentum across teams
- In this role, you’ll connect the people, processes, and priorities behind our product lifecycle, helping teams stay aligned, navigate complexity, and move work forward from early development through launch
- Reporting to our SVP of Operations, you’ll partner closely with Brooklinen’s executive team and functional leaders to evolve how we operate today and build a more connected, scalable model for the future
- Product Development & Launch Orchestration
- Drive the cross-functional operating cadence that supports the product development process from concept through launch
- Partner closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Production, Creative, Digital, and Marketing teams to align milestones, dependencies, and timelines
- Ensure key handoffs across teams are clear, well coordinated, and executed with accountability
- Identify areas where the process can move faster or operate more smoothly and lead improvements
- Go-to-Market Process Leadership
- Strengthen the cross-functional go-to-market process across product, brand, digital, and channel teams
- Ensure launches are coordinated across stakeholders with clear ownership and timelines
- Partner with marketing, site, and merchandising teams to ensure product launches land smoothly across channels
- Act as a central coordinator for launch readiness, keeping teams aligned while maintaining momentum
- Cross-Functional Execution & Influence
- Lead high-priority initiatives that require coordination across multiple functions and senior stakeholders
- Build credibility quickly through strong judgment, subject matter expertise, and a collaborative approach
- Navigate competing priorities with objectivity, helping teams make practical tradeoffs in the service of the business
- Maintain momentum by identifying risks early and resolving blockers quickly
- Operational Excellence & Scale
- Strengthen how teams work together across product development and launch by bringing clarity to timelines, handoffs, and decision points
- Introduce practical ways of working that improve cross-functional coordination without unnecessary complexity
- Translate lessons from launches and initiatives into better ways of operating going forward
- Help lay the foundation for a scalable business operations capability over time

In a crowded market for home essentials, Brooklinen has proven to be hugely profitable. Its strategy of focusing on a vertically integrated supply chain has paid off with significant revenue. By creating lightweight and durable sheets designed to soften after each wash cycle, Brooklinen provides an attractive option for those wanting luxury sheets without the hefty price tag.
From the funding it has received, Brooklinen has been able to invest in its product range, such as through its expansion to loungewear to offer more options for customers. Further, the opening of physical stores in highly profitable locations has been a smart move by the company and its strategic wholesale scaling has opened up new B2B revenue.
