Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance
- Proven experience in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
- Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting
- Familiarity with programming languages like Python and TypeScript
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools (e.g. GitLab)
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development processes
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- ISTQB certification or equivalent
- Knowledge of cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience with performance and security testing is a plus
What the job involves
- Creating test cases that cover various scenarios ensuring that they are thorough and effective
- Identifying defects in the software and reporting them to the development team via a ticketing system, and working with developers to reproduce and fix defects
- Treefera is a fast growing startup and the QA engineer would be expected to work on different products. They would need to work closely with other teams, including product managers, designers, and developers, to ensure that the software meets the needs of the end-users
- Responsibility includes ensuring that the software can handle high traffic and large amounts of data, and that it performs well under different conditions
- Treefera’s fast scaling means we need to ensure that software is secure and that it meets the company's security standards and the expectations of the user and any applicable governing bodies
- The QA engineer is expected to stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and technologies, and to continuously improve the testing process to give the best results and ROI
