Who you are
- As we expand into new markets, we seek an experienced communication leader with a proven track record in deeptech startups, capable of building and executing a communication strategy that drives brand awareness and positions us as a pioneer in this transformative field
- We need a Head of Corporate Communication who has firsthand experience defining and deploying communication strategies for deeptech companies
- We’re looking for a strategic mind who can transform complex innovations into clear, impactful messages, driving brand recognition and thought leadership
- We are looking for an experienced communication leader with a strong background in startup deeptech environments, particularly those involving innovative technologies entering new markets
- 8+ years of experience in strategic communication, corporate communication, or public relations, with a focus on high-tech, deeptech, or innovation-driven industries
- Mandatory experience in deeptech startups, including defining and implementing external communication strategies from the ground up
- Proven success in launching innovative products in new or unfamiliar markets
- Strong storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex technologies into engaging narratives for a wide range of audiences
- Expertise in media relations, external communication, and thought leadership positioning
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, innovative environments and adapt to rapidly evolving market dynamics
- Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
What the job involves
- This role is critical to shaping our external visibility and involves crafting compelling narratives for complex technologies that resonate across diverse audiences
- In this role, you will work closely with the co-founders and our leadership team to position Quandela as a market leader in the quantum computing space
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy to position our brand as a pioneer in deeptech and quantum computing
- Adapt messaging to showcase the value of our complex technologies to diverse audiences (clients, partners, media, regulators)
- Build a strong corporate narrative to enhance our reputation in a highly competitive deeptech market
- Position executives as thought leaders through keynotes, media engagements, and opinion pieces on relevant technological trends
- Translate complex deeptech innovations into clear, compelling stories that resonate with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Lead product launch communication strategies to ensure our innovations are understood, valued, and gain traction in new markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, tech journalists, and industry influencers
- Drive media coverage in fast-paced markets while managing potential reputation risks
- Lastly, you challenge the status quo and constantly look for new, innovative and creative opportunities to increase brand awareness
Our take
As quantum computing shifts from the realm of theory to that of reality, Quandela is here to facilitate its accelerated uptake. The company supplies access to Quantum Processing Units via the "Quandela Cloud", and is also developing photonic quantum computers to sell to industrial customers.
Through its cloud gateway, users can submit jobs to Quandela's quantum computers and monitor them from an online interface, helping to make quantum computing more widely accessible. The company also runs a computing platform called MosaiQ, through which new quantum computing algorithms and protocols can be prototyped, developed, and implemented.
Having already made strides in the sector, Quandela's latest focus is the delivery of its commercial quantum computers, the first of which was bought and hosted by cloud provider OVHcloud in an industry-first transaction. Funding will support the expansion of this side of the business and otherwise support the company's as-yet-confidential roadmap.
