Who you are
- Deep expertise in and passion for investments and personal finance
- Familiarity with concepts like modern portfolio theory, sharpe ratios, and risk-adjusted returns
- Comfortable working with a range of asset classes (equities, fixed income, alts, derivatives) to deliver innovative solutions to our clients
- Understanding of tax strategies, including tax-advantaged accounts, tax-loss harvesting, and tax-exempt investments, to improve client outcomes
- Strong storytelling skills to distill advanced investment concepts into accessible information for partner organizations and clients
- Creative problem-solving skills to deliver innovative functionality within regulatory and technical constraints
- A self-starter with proven success in launching products in collaboration with a broad set of stakeholders
- Strong analytical abilities and enthusiasm for data-driven decision-making
- MBA or similar preferred
What the job involves

- As the Product Leader for our Investing Experience and Asset Management teams, you will shape and expand our suite of investment options for retail investors, independent RIAs, and 401(k) plans
- You’ll develop and enhance tools that help clients select, manage, and track their investments
- This domain is central to our business, stewarding $55 billion in client assets across investment options that reflect our commitment to trust and transparency
- In this player/coach role, you’ll lead Product Managers and directly oversee an engineering squad, managing multiple high-impact projects while delving into technical details as needed
- Working closely with engineers and cross-functional teams, you’ll clear roadblocks and drive solutions through the product lifecycle
- You will help create a financial services experience that builds trust and empowers our clients to make the most of their money
- Oversee product teams responsible for our investment strategies and portfolio technology, which are fundamental to our role as a wealth manager for clients
- Partner closely with our investing SMEs to bridge their portfolio expertise with the software that delivers those portfolios to nearly a million clients
- Deeply understand our target clients, championing functionality that enriches their investing experience and drives business value
- Lead the multi-year investing roadmap, identifying new investment strategies, asset classes, or account capabilities that we should offer in order to better serve our clients
- Balance the needs of investors across all three lines of business: retail clients, advised clients, and 401(k) participants
- Support engineering teams during standups, planning meetings, and retros
- Develop success metrics for your product area, create tracking plans, and clearly communicate how prioritized work impacts those metrics
- Collaborate with Operations teams to navigate complex client situations, including asset transitions and corporate action processing

- On average, it takes us around 3-5 weeks to make a hiring decision, depending on your availability and sense of urgency
- As a best practice, we aim to interview at least 2-3 final round candidates before making a hiring decision
