Who you are

We are looking for a Software Engineer with experience in Python/Go who is comfortable in a polyglot environment to join the EasyPost team
7+ years of professional software development experience
Strong experience with Python
Experience with REST, HTTP/HTTPS protocols
Ownership of integrating 3rd party APIs a plus
Strong desire to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment with multiple releases a day
A passion for working as part of a team - you love connecting and collaborating with others

What the job involves

You will be a key member of our small but growing engineering team making important technical decisions that will shape the company's future
Build new features and products for the EasyPost API
Optimize and build back-end services for performance and scale
Integrate our software with carriers around the world
Participate in code designs, planning meetings, and code reviews
Write high quality software using Python/Go and some Ruby
Analyze/debug performance issues
Take ownership of major API features

EasyPost's multi-carrier shipping API provides eCommerce businesses with seamless solutions to manage logistics. The platform allows companies to easily switch between shipping providers, track packages, and verify addresses. Saving businesses time and money and in turn, simplifying what would otherwise be a complex process.

When EasyPost emerged from stealth in 2013, it was widely recognised as the "Stripe for shipping". A comparison stemming from the company's ability to enable developers to integrate postage and shipping features into web applications. Which, at the time, was something legacy carriers like FedEx and UPS weren't taking advantage of.

As e-commerce has grown, EasyPost has expanded its reach and is now available in over 200 countries. It now offers Amazon Shipping, cementing its position as a market leader.
