Who you are

- You have 5+ years of experience, ideally while working on a SaaS product in a cloud environment. Experience with the development of data intensive applications is a strong advantage
- You have strong problem-solving skills and are able to come up with creative solutions to challenging problems
- You have a strong interest in technology: you keep up to date on best practices and new technologies, but assess them with a critical eye
- You are able to communicate effectively with the stakeholders
- You are familiar with most of the technologies that we use: Java, Spring Boot, SQL and NoSQL dbs, Docker, Kubernetes, Git…
- You have a good understanding of modern cloud platforms (such as GCP and Cloudflare)
- You have experience with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines (Git ,GitLab) and coding unit and integration tests
What the job involves
- DoubleVerify is growing and looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to grow its Publisher Solution, a SaaS product that helps a global customer base of publishers to understand and optimize their advertising revenue
- As part of the team in Berlin, you will focus on our Publisher product, which provides publishers such New York Times, Bloomberg, Disney, Amazon and many others, with measurements, insights and analytical tools, exposed through a SaaS web application
- This enables our customers (media publishers and content makers) to understand and optimize the digital advertisements on their sites, which supports the articles, videos, and any other content they create
- The main focus of the team is to maintain and evolve a SaaS platform that enables publishers to streamline ad operations and generate more
Our take
The importance of digital advertising continues to grow, but it can be difficult for companies to protect their brand identity online. DoubleVerify solves this problem using software that monitors campaign performance in real-time.
Since it was first launched, DoubleVerify has successfully carved out an impressive market share, and now boasts customers such as digital advertising giant Facebook as long-time customers. Its success is largely owed to the quality of its technology, which far outperforms that of its rivals. DoubleVerify has consolidated its success by expanding the range of languages its tools support. It has also expanded into new markets such as Australia and New Zealand, a key indicator of the company’s continued growth.
The digital ad space is changing constantly, and DoubleVerify will need to remain as agile and adaptive as it is at present in order to compete with rivals such as Tremor and Quantcast. But with a 2021 IPO, several recent rounds of funding and new product releases, it looks set to tackle its competitors head on and stay ahead of the game.
