Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of previous experience in generating & closing significant deals. Preferably with a substantial amount of time dedicated to enterprise SaaS/software/technology business sales, within the financial services market, while being well versed in sales processes that accelerate successful outcomes
- Extensive experience in SaaS sales with a proven track record closing six figure enterprise deals (seven figure deals experience is a plus/desired but not required)
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services to drive a sales process from plan to close
- Excellent technical aptitude and the ability to understand OpenFin product offerings and position products against competitors
- A genuine enthusiasm and interest in both technology and OpenFin’s product
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, written, listening, negotiation and presentation skills
Desirable
- Experience selling to banks & asset managers along with a strong network is helpful
What the job involves
- Generating new business by identifying prospects and initiating effective contact
- Building and progressing a significant pipeline of opportunities and navigating the complete sales cycle
- Partnering with customers to understand their ongoing business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicating the OpenFin value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Quickly developing a deep understanding of OpenFin’s product and underlying technology and an ability to communicate OpenFin product benefits to senior business and technology stakeholders

OpenFin’s goal has always been to improve workflow optimization in the financial industry, with a focus on promoting systems interoperability and native experience. The OS includes intelligent full-service workspaces, and a developer platform including APIs to build native web apps.
Over the past decade OpenFin has been adopted by major finance players like Goldman Sachs, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, and Wells Fargo. Then OpenFin cemented this market-leading position by launching the FDC3 industry standard for desktop interoperability in 2017, which has since seen widespread adoption. Along with OpenFin’s impressive client base, it’s made the company an authoritative body in fintech.
This will continue to help OpenFin secure the top spot as the industry develops. With digital transformation creating further workflow complexities, interoperability and scalability are more important than ever. OpenFin’s focus here means it’s already tempting new clients from growing and complex fintech spaces like FX trading. It seems likely that even more major players will follow suit, especially since OpenFin's 2023 Series D funding which is being channelled into helping the financial industry adopt OpenFin OS. The latter platform is already used by 3800 financial bodies in more than 60 countries.
