This provides the world with a clean source of animal fat, helping power the transition to a more ethical and sustainable future.
The current techniques for culturing animal cells are expensive, but Hoxton Farms' mathematical and computational modelling dramatically reduces the cost of cell culture, meaning that its product is cost-effective at scale. The company has seen significant funding over the years, its 2025 round coming from Japanese chemical giant Mitsui, which is supplying Hoxton Farms with advanced bioreactor materials and scaling its production across new sectors.
