Role
Who you are
- Minimum 3 years professional experience, with 2+ years experience in client-facing roles driving technical project leadership in an enterprise setting
- Background working with any of the following: enterprise health care systems, digital consumer payments or backend payment processing technologies, enterprise system integrations or an Electronic Health Record company
- Comfortable working with data structures, relational databases, and cloud infrastructure
- Strong analytical capabilities with high proficiency in SQL. Experience with Python is preferred
- Effective and credible leading outcomes-focused client conversations
- Experience communicating clear technical and business requirements to engineering
- You feel comfortable working in a thriving entrepreneurial environment and have some level of comfort navigating through times of ambiguity
- Lastly, you should be excited about Cedar's mission of improving the healthcare financial experience
What the job involves
- The Delivery organization owns the process of getting our new clients from implementation kickoff through launch to stability and handoff to the client management team
- We're seeking a Solutions Architect to lead the integration of Cedar's platform to our clients' healthcare management platforms
- Solutions Architects are among the first "Cedarians" our clients get to know and are adept at building those client relationships alongside Cedar's other commercial teams
- Simply put, Cedar doesn't realize its vision of improving the patient financial experience without our implementation team
- Conduct technical and operational client discovery
- Translate client data and formats to the Cedar infrastructure and schemas
- Lead a data validation workflow to identify all root causes and troubleshoot issues for data mismatches or loading errors
- Lead technical testing efforts for UAT to confirm all aspects of the solution are working as intended (i.e. data quality, access, performance)
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and operational stakeholders regarding networking, security, change approval processes, user authentication, and technical reviews
- Develop an integration strategy based on requirements gathered from discovery
- Manage several technical and operational activities during solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation
- Lead large cross-functional team efforts across Cedar
- Manage multi-threaded, complex projects and succinctly convey progress against goals/milestones
- Project managing open tasks and driving issues to resolution
- Work closely with our integration teams to streamline future implementations
- Serve as the voice of the customer to internal stakeholders - engineering teams, account management, and product managers
- Critical thinking through ambiguity in technical and operational workflows. Solutions should meet client requirements and a high bar for technical sustainability and quality
Our take
Over $1 billion is said to be lost annually by physicians as a result of inefficient and disjointed healthcare billing practices. The subsequently low patient satisfaction rates lead to poorer care, and real losses for providers who see patients switching away from their plans.
Cedar looks to remedy these issues with a selection of consumer-facing services which streamline billing, insurance and healthcare processes. Healthcare billing concerns a huge percentage of US adults, so optimizing patient satisfaction is of increasing concern - a great opportunity for the company.
After acquiring competing patient finance streamlining service OODA Health in 2021, Cedar netted substantial funds and launched its Payer Intelligence Layer. This allows it to integrate data from insurers and providers to create a single source of information. The company was also endorsed by the Montana Hospital Association's shared services division, to be listed as its only preferred patient financial engagement technology.
