Who you are

Expert Java skills - backend systems, 5 years or more of Java experience
Good understanding of the challenges faced in distributed computing - REST APIs, fault tolerance, scalability etc
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Good knowledge of SQL and RDBMS
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with working in a Linux environment
Experience within AdTech industry is a plus
Familiarity with Python or C#

What the job involves

The Sr. Software Engineer II will join DV’s Software Development team and will use industry standards and latest technologies to enhance our programmatic and platform products
DoubleVerify runs mission-critical systems that process billions of real-time transactions a day, hence performance and scalability considerations would guide you throughout each project
You will experiment with new and cutting-edge technologies designed for Big Data and Ad Tech solutions
Join a great team of motivated engineers that develops critical high performance, large scale services for DoubleVerify's Programmatic integrations and Platform product
Work closely with the Product team to understand product requirements
Oversee end to end integrations with the rapidly increasing list of Programmatic Platforms
Write solid code with the focus on high performance for services supporting high throughput and low latency (< 10ms response time)
Design, develop and test new features and improve existing systems
Focus on increasing the test and monitoring coverage and automation
Help create large-scale distributed systems which process billions of transactions per day with strict SLAs
Follow agile methodologies and work in a fast-paced environment where one can quickly see the results of the work being performed

The importance of digital advertising continues to grow, but it can be difficult for companies to protect their brand identity online. DoubleVerify solves this problem using software that monitors campaign performance in real-time.

Since it was first launched, DoubleVerify has successfully carved out an impressive market share, and now boasts customers such as digital advertising giant Facebook as long-time customers. Its success is largely owed to the quality of its technology, which far outperforms that of its rivals. DoubleVerify has consolidated its success by expanding the range of languages its tools support. It has also expanded into new markets such as Australia and New Zealand, a key indicator of the company’s continued growth.

The digital ad space is changing constantly, and DoubleVerify will need to remain as agile and adaptive as it is at present in order to compete with rivals such as Tremor and Quantcast. But with a 2021 IPO, several recent rounds of funding and new product releases, it looks set to tackle its competitors head on and stay ahead of the game.
