A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
5+ years of experience working in an IT development team
5+ years of experience writing advanced Oracle PL/SQL programs in a development capacity
Excellent knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
Ability to translate requirements into solutions using PL/SQL and scripting
Bulk data transfer methods
Strong writing skills

What the job involves

Ocuco is seeking an experienced and talented Data Engineer to join our global Data team in the Vancouver office in Burnaby. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer, eager further their skills and continue their professional development as Ocuco continues to grow in the industry
Continuous refinement of skills and knowledge of Oracle and Azure SQL database schemas and data structures
Develop programs and processes to perform functions, such as evaluate, transform, extract, or import data from various sources
Debug data integrity issues
Review and apply data fixes as necessary
Review, maintain, and develop processes to distribute master data
Document processes and procedures
