Who you are
- The ideal candidate is highly analytical, has a strong understanding of financial principles, and is passionate about using data to solve complex problems
- If you have 3+ years of experience in business analytics, strong data analysis & visualization skills, and a drive to influence outcomes through insight, we’d love to hear from you
- Strong proficiency in data analytics, including advanced SQL, spreadsheet, and data visualization (e.g. Tableau)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
- 3+ years of experience in business analytics, where prior experience in financial planning, operations, tracking spend, or equivalent is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of financial principles and how labor impacts operations as well as P&L
- Curious mindset to spot trends in data, deep-dive root causes, and generate proposals for both tactical and strategic solutions
- Clear verbal and written communicator, strong collaboration and influencing skills

What the job involves
- Lime is hiring a Senior Analyst to join our Global Operations team! In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of improving labor insights, reporting and financial planning across our operations
- You’ll develop key metrics and tools to enhance real-time visibility of performance and drive targeted analysis that informs operational decisions and strategic opportunities. You’ll collaborate closely with Finance, Strategy & Planning, and Local Operations teams to help shape the future of Lime’s labour as we continue to scale
- Improve real-time visibility of labour efficiency and spend: Develop metrics and tooling to improve visibility of warehouse and street operations labour efficiency and performance
- Build models and dashboards: Use data analysis and visualization tools (SQL, tableau, spreadsheet) to build models for labour forecasting and dashboards for local operations teams - ensuring robust logic, consistent and clearly-defined assumptions, intuitive user-interface
- Monitor trends in performance: Monitor labour efficiency and vehicle availability vs plan, identifying root causes for any variance or new trends
- Collaborate with partner teams to improve efficiency: Provide insight and targeted analysis to troubleshoot issues or highlight opportunities. Partner with Operations leadership and local teams to land recommendations and drive action through to resolution
- Contribute to financial planning process: Collaborate with Finance, S&P, and local operations to support the labor aspect of Lime’s financial planning process
- Drive continuous improvement in data analytics capabilities across global operations: Contribute to a culture of data-driven decision making and analytical excellence through peer collaboration and support
Our take
In recent years, electric-powered mobility companies have attracted an extraordinary amount of interest and funding, in part due to rising eco-friendly sentiment, and in part because of the race to "find the next Uber". Lime is one such company, that has rapidly scaled across multiple geographies to be a key player in the fight for market leadership.
Lime, along with its competitors, has had to grapple with regulation in many of its target markets, but nonetheless has steadily increased its footprint. Since its launch, the company has facilitated millions of trips, making it one of the biggest companies of its kind. Interestingly, the CEO has stated that "cars are our true business rivals—not other scooter companies", suggesting that its biggest business challenge will be to get families to give up their second cars.
With a presence that spans an impressive number of regions - in 2023, Lime began operating in Qatar - the company has cemented itself in the micromobility market and stands to profit from the increasing popularity of these types of services. A substantial increase in ridership enabled Lime to achieve "free cash flow positivity" two years in a row, with suggestions it will pursue a US IPO in 2027.
