Our take

Getting a new business off the ground can be difficult. An innovative idea is not enough, and oftentimes founders struggle to secure the investment they need to grow. HV capital supports exciting companies from the seed stage and onwards throughout their growth, with a speciality in finding and funding future leaders.

HV Capital, an all-stage investor in the German market, leads seed rounds, growth stage investments up to €20m, and follow-on investments up to €100m per company, supporting its partners for ten years or longer. The company has also created a continuation fund, the first of its kind in Germany, which will enable them to invest longer-term and maintain relationships with its more mature companies, yielding larger returns in the future.

Since founding in 2000, HV Capital has backed roughly 225 businesses, including notable names such as Zalando and HelloFresh. With a list of successes at its back, the company is well-positioned to continue supporting exciting startups into the future.
