Role
Who you are
- A university degree (or equivalent) in finance, accounting, or a related field, or a qualification as a certified public accountant (e.g., Steuerberater, Bilanzbuchhalter)
- Demonstrable professional experience in financial accounting and reporting within Germany
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience with German GAAP (HGB) and tax compliance
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and financial analysis tools
- Hands-on mentality, with the ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Very good German and English language skills are required

What the job involves
- You will be crucial in ensuring strong financial controls, optimising accounting workflows, and providing reliable financial data to support business decision-making
- As part of our Finance team, you will oversee the accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of the monthly financial close process, ensuring compliance with German accounting standards and working closely with external tax advisors
- Preparing monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS
- Ensuring compliance with German tax and regulatory requirements, in collaboration with external tax advisors
- Conducting quality assurance of monthly financial statements and preparing reports for management
- Supporting statutory audits and liaising with auditors
- Handling supplier invoices, ensuring timely processing and payment in DATEV
- Reconciling supplier accounts and managing payment runs
- Supporting customer invoicing, ensuring accurate entry of orders and monitoring billable services
- Tracking incoming payments, liaising with customers regarding outstanding balances, and supporting credit control and cash flow management
- Processing and reviewing travel expenses, ensuring compliance with internal policies and German tax regulations, and managing reimbursements through HR Works or equivalent systems
- Maintaining a strong internal control environment and adhering to financial policies and procedures

Founded in 2023 after spinning out from Boldyn, Boldyn Networks combines various connectivity brands within its portfolio to harness advanced technologies, collaborations and shared infrastructure for its customers. 2024 saw a flurry of acquisitions that consolidated Boldyn Networks as a major player, and it now works across infrastructure, transport, education, military and more to provide high-level internet connectivity.
The company has made a lot of progress over just a single year, including acquisitions of education connectivity providers Apogee, ZenFi Networks, Edzcom, and more. It is now focused on further advancing its interconnectivity services which already span Europe, the US and Hong Kong.
