- Have previously worked in a fast growing startup environment in a similar role
- Are passionate about building environments that produce high performing, diverse and productive teams and fully appreciate the value of external and internal relationship building
- Have plenty of experience in dealing with various tasks/stakeholders and easily navigate and prioritize what needs to be done
- Have a working know-how in managing benefits (including Health, Pensions and wellness offering) as well as payroll processes
- Have some experience in navigating employee issues including performance, discipline, grievances and conflict-resolution with process and good judgment
- Know your way around productivity & collaboration tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, HiBob, Justworks and Lattice (to name a few) and don’t mind doing the necessary admin, filing and documentation as required
- Are helpful, grounded and have abundance of empathy
- Are curious, pro-active and extremely self-sufficient
- Are someone who has plenty of passion for, and is continuously learning about ways to improve employee relations, engagement and performance
What the job involves
- We are looking for a People Operations Partner here at INSHUR, working on a platform which covers multiple territories, including the UK, New York and new European countries and US territories as we expand
- Reporting to the Head of People in the UK, you'll be joining an amazing team of 6 who believe in integrity, fairness, trust and commitment
- The People & Talent Team is responsible for providing an excellent employee experience, attracting and retaining the best talent, and supporting the operations of the business

- As our People Ops Partner you will help us keep the team productive, engaged and compliant
- You will be co-owning and developing the US onboarding and off boarding processes and be the primary point of contact for anything to do with our US offices
- You will assist with our hiring and provide support to a variety of efforts from L&D to performance management
- You will also help manage our benefits, taking charge of maintaining morale amongst the team using team building and various other initiatives and events
Our take
INSHUR has created a technology-focused insurance platform catered to private hire, courier and food delivery drivers, allowing them to take out flexible policies to suit their work patterns. The traditional process of meeting with brokers takes up valuable time that could be spent working. After initial success in New York, INSHUR expanded to the UK, being the first flexible insurance company of its kind. It has a partnership with Uber, securing its place in the market and making it the go-to for many drivers.
With INSHUR, drivers can take out policies that cover them only for the days they are working. They can choose a fixed term from 7 days to an annual policy to suit their working schedule, far more flexible than the traditional options of 30-days, 90-days or a year.
INSHUR launched its in-house UK claims operation in 2020, whilst it has been partnered with Uber since 2018. These strategic moves enables the leading insurtech to effectively provide a supportive, fully transparent experience for customers without outsourcing any of the claims journey. This approach will also help control costs, allowing savings to be passed on to its policyholders.
The car insurance industry has been lacking innovation for some time so INSHUR and similar companies (such as Cuvva) are set to significantly disrupt the market.
