Backend Software Engineer, Addepar

• B.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience.)
• 2+ years experience as a professional software engineer, preferably in Python
• Experience in SQL and relational databases schema modeling
• Proven ability to collaborate with other engineers, and demeanor to adapt and learn

• The Quality Platform is seeking a backend software engineer to join our team. We are building a new vertical that will analyze incoming portfolio data in real-time to flag and automatically resolve any anomalies
• We work extensively with Python and Spark to perform these large-scale analyses against market data and previous client holdings. We liaise with teams across the organization -- with Product, Support, and even with clients to deliver the most informational insights on the incoming data
• Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions to tackle sophisticated problems; write well-designed, testable code
• Manage individual project priorities and deadlines
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers and stakeholders on projects
• Communicate technical ideas and set direction on projects with a focus on solving business challenges
• Document software functionality, system design, and project plans; this includes clean, readable code with comments
